The Terrace
From breakfast in the morning to a glass of wine in the evening our private terrace is the perfect place where you can relax coming back from your tours, fully enjoying the view of mount Vesuvius, the Bay of Neaples.
The Rooms
The Kitchen
The Bathroom
The house, built in a courtyard in the centre of Seiano, is completely private and well connected with the surrounding areas and can be reached by car or by Circumvesuviana train service to Seiano station, 450 metres away.
It dates back to 1700 and has been renovated in its original style but with all mod cons including air conditioning and Internet access.
The house stands in a distinctive 18th century courtyard, where you can still see the washtub used back in the days when the washing machine was not even a twinkle in its inventor’s eye. There is also a well that once collected the rainwater used by those who lived here in their everyday lives.
Across the courtyard is the entrance to the house; a stairway, with original vaults overhead, leads to the first floor with its luminous windowed hallway, living room and spacious bedroom with flooring dating back to the 1930s, when the house was used as a primary school
Although the bathroom (fitted with shower) and the kitchen have been restructured, every effort has been made, in terms of colour, fittings and furnishings, to recreate the warmth and the atmosphere of the original fireplace, which has had to be removed.
The wide panoramic terrace is completely private, with amazing views of the mountain towns and the sea.
The Village of Seiano
Seiano is a small village in the municipality of Vico Equense, perched on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples at around 85 metres above sea level.
A destination of choice for those wishing to escape the noise and chaos of the city, without foregoing the chance to visit some of the most beautiful and well-known attractions of the area, such as Sorrento, Positano, Capri, Pompeii and Naples.
The intense blue of the sea, the amazing views of the Bay of Naples and of the mighty Vesuvius, as well as the temperate climate and lush vegetation, are, of course, what inspired the wealthy Seiano, back in the days of Ancient Rome, to build a sumptuous villa here, which we find mentioned in the letters of Cicero. For reasons similar to these.
At our first-class restaurants, you will savour some of the typical produce of this magnificent region, all supplied daily by local dairies and producers of fresh products that are known and loved throughout the world.
Mozzarella, Limoncello and Provolone del Monaco cheese are just some of the delicacies produced up in the hills of Vico Equense, and let us not forget the exquisite pizza on offer at the many pizzerias you will find scattered around the area.
